Settled vs. contested
Where evidence is lopsided we say so plainly. Where serious researchers disagree we label it Contested and show the disagreement. A claim-status field is built into articles and data and surfaced in the interface.
Trivia & facts standard
Two independent authoritative sources, plus a myth-screen on every surprising or commonly-mistaken claim. Generated candidates stay in a holding state for review; nothing is auto-promoted to the live pool.
Rankings standard
Outcome-based only — results the office controls. No ideological or value-laden scoring. Each ranking ships a methodology page and a downloadable CSV.
No fabricated data
Where a source is not yet attached, you see a visible Data pending marker — never an invented number. The public corrections log records every fix.
